This Winter the Conway Parks and Recreation Department will be offering four different basketball programs.
Co-ed 2nd - 3rd Grade Basketball
Back by popular demand will be our grade 2-3, Co-ed Basketball program. Like last year, this program will introduce the idea of gameplay and team play with a very loose application of the rules. This is an introductory program that wants to see the kids shoot and pass without being overwhelmed by strict rule enforcement. This program will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 3rd, and run every Wednesday until Feb. 14th (Changed from Tuesdays to Wednesdays). Practice and game times will be 3:45 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The cost of this program is $21.00.

4th Grade Basketball
This year the Conway Rec. Dept. will be partnering with Fryeburg Rec. to enhance our basketball intramural programs.
We will offer a grade 4 Girls team and a Grade 4 Boys team that will play games with modified rules. This is intended to keep the age/class groups more balanced and closer in ability. This will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays with games beginning on December 12th. Game times will be 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Practices for the teams in this program will begin on November 16th. The cost of this program is $21.00 including a team shirt.

5th - 6th Grade Basketball
We will also offer a grade 5-6 Girls team and a grade 5-6 Boys team. The rules at this level will be more strictly enforced to replicate a true basketball experience.
Both these programs will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays with games beginning on December 12th. Game times will be 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Practices for the teams in this program will begin on November 16th. The cost of this program is $21.00 including a team shirt.

This year the Conway Parks and Rec. Dept. will be bringing back Boys and Girls grade 5-6 Travel Basketball teams. These teams will compete with other towns and also in the season-ending Carroll County tournament. These teams will go through a try-out process for selection. However, to be considered for tryouts, your child must be part of our intramural program. The cost of this program is TBD.
