We are back on Track and Field! The Conway Rec. is excited to announce that we will yet again be offering our Track and Field program! This program will be one day a week starting Tuesday, May 7th! Contrary to last year we will be on the Kennett High School Track to get some real experience!
This will be a fun introduction into Track and Field focusing on the development of speed and endurance through means of traditional events and the incorporation of field games.

Held on Saturday, June 17 at Winnisquam High School, Tilton, NH. The fee per athlete this year is $8. This will help us offset some of the costs needed to run the program. The State Meet will begin with a parade of athletes at 9:30 am. I ask that everyone be at the high school by 9:00 am so we can get organized as a team.
PLEASE WEAR YOUR TRACK AND FIELD T-SHIRT THAT WAS HANDED OUT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR. The rec bus will be available for those who need it.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Athletes will compete in age groups according to their age on December 31, 2023
Field Events:
1)Softball Throw
2)*Standing Long Jump ---- Only for Boys and Girls born 9-10 years old
3)*Running Long Jump ------ Boys and Girls 11 years old and up!
Running Events:
1) *50 Meter Dash---- Only for Boys and Girls born in 2013-2014 (9-10 years old)*
2)*100 Meter Dash*
3) *200 Meter Dash*
4) 400 Meter Dash
5) 800 Meter Run
* These sprint events will have both preliminary heats and a finals heat at the State Meet
Athletes may compete in one (1) field event and two (2) running events and the relay;
or
Athletes may compete in two (2) field events and one (1) running event and the relay for a total of four events
The top 8 athletes in each event will receive a t-shirt. State Champions win a special champion shirt.
