CONWAY REC ANNOUNCES PLANS FOR WINTER BASKETBALL SEASON The Conway Parks and Recreation Department is happy to announce its plans for basketball for the 2021 winter season. Intramural basketball will be offered to girls and boys in grades 3rd-6th. The following is the tentative timetable and phased approach for the season. Please keep in mind this is dependent on participation numbers as well as the constantly changing Covid-19 situation here in the Mount Washington Valley. Registration is open and will remain open until Thursday, January 14th. Boys basketball will take place on Monday and Wednesday afternoons while girls basketball will take place on Tuesday and Thursdays beginning on Tuesday, January 19th. The first phase will be four weeks of skills and drills sessions (30-45 minutes) with small assigned groups. If at this point, the Covid-19 number remains manageable, we will enter phase two. Upon the return from February vacation, we will move to games. Games this season will be 3 v 3 and be played cross court.In order to minimize risk and exposure, at this point, no parents will be permitted access to the building. We will use a drop-off and pick-up procedure similar to the school. The Chip Kennett Teen Center is Back!!!   The Conway Parks and Recreation Department is happy to announce that The Chip Kennett Teen Center will be opening on Tuesday, Sept. 29th. Welcome to the Chip Kennett Teen Center and the Conway Parks and Recreation Dept.  The intent of the Teen Center is to offer kids in 6th, 7th and 8th grades a safe place to visit after school where they can enjoy activities and socialization in a friendly, healthy atmosphere.  This program is open to residents of Conway and Albany, NH.  The cost of the Teen Center is $30.00 for the entire year, September-June. This year there will be many changes to the program for the safety of your kids and our staff.   Teen Center will be open Tuesday – Friday evenings from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  We will use an 8-1 ratio of members to staff. Our current capacity will be 16 members on any given evening. Masks will be required when walking through the halls from room to room and in situations where we can’t social distance. Once in a room or the gym, where we can social distance, masks may be removed.  Our intent is to be outside as much as the weather will allow. However, we are fully prepared to utilize our indoor portion of the Teen Center with multiple hand sanitization stations and cleaning areas.  We would not proceed with this program if we did not feel we could provide it safely and still maintain the type of program that kids want to come and be a part of. ***Please familiarize yourself with our Teen Center 2020/2021 Handbook. We are pleased to announce that the Conway Rec will be offering another Arts and Crafts Class with retired art teacher Peg Cromwell. This three-week class will take place on Tuesday's from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm beginning on January 19th, 2021. The cost of the arts and crafts class is $10. New guidelines will be set and emailed out to registrants before the first class.

This year there will be many changes to the program for the safety of your kids and our staff.   Teen Center will be open Tuesday – Friday evenings from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  We will use an 8-1 ratio of members to staff. Our current capacity will be 16 members on any given evening. Masks will be required when walking through the halls from room to room and in situations where we can’t social distance. Once in a room or the gym, where we can social distance, masks may be removed.  Our intent is to be outside as much as the weather will allow. The Chip Kennett Teen Center is Back!!!   The Conway Parks and Recreation Department is happy to announce that The Chip Kennett Teen Center will be opening on Tuesday, Sept. 29th. Welcome to the Chip Kennett Teen Center and the Conway Parks and Recreation Dept.  The intent of the Teen Center is to offer kids in 6th, 7th and 8th grades a safe place to visit after school where they can enjoy activities and socialization in a friendly, healthy atmosphere.  This program is open to residents of Conway and Albany, NH.  The cost of the Teen Center is $30.00 for the entire year, September-June. This year there will be many changes to the program for the safety of your kids and our staff.   Teen Center will be open Tuesday – Friday evenings from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  We will use an 8-1 ratio of members to staff. Our current capacity will be 16 members on any given evening. Masks will be required when walking through the halls from room to room and in situations where we can’t social distance. Once in a room or the gym, where we can social distance, masks may be removed.  Our intent is to be outside as much as the weather will allow. The Chip Kennett Teen Center is Back!!!   The Conway Parks and Recreation Department is happy to announce that The Chip Kennett Teen Center will be opening on Tuesday, Sept. 29th. Welcome to the Chip Kennett Teen Center and the Conway Parks and Recreation Dept.  The intent of the Teen Center is to offer kids in 6th, 7th and 8th grades a safe place to visit after school where they can enjoy activities and socialization in a friendly, healthy atmosphere.  This program is open to residents of Conway and Albany, NH.  The cost of the Teen Center is $30.00 for the entire year, September-June. This year there will be many changes to the program for the safety of your kids and our staff.   Teen Center will be open Tuesday – Friday evenings from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  We will use an 8-1 ratio of members to staff. Our current capacity will be 16 members on any given evening. Masks will be required when walking through the halls from room to room and in situations where we can’t social distance. Once in a room or the gym, where we can social distance, masks may be removed.  Our intent is to be outside as much as the weather will allow. However, we are fully prepared to utilize our indoor portion of the Teen Center with multiple hand sanitization stations and cleaning areas.  We would not proceed with this program if we did not feel we could provide it safely and still maintain the type of program that kids want to come and be a part of. ***Please familiarize yourself with our Teen Center 2020/2021 Handbook.
