2024 Turkey Trot Race - 11 & 12 Year Olds
The 2024 Turkey Trot Race will occur at 4:45 PM on Friday, November 22nd at the Conway Recreation Field behind Conway Elementary School. Like last year, we are asking participants to pre-register (there is no cost). Age groups will be broken up into four different sessions:
5 & 6 Year-Old
7 & 8 Year-Old
9 & 10 Year-Old
11 & 12 Year-Old
There will be a boys' and girls' race for each age group, with the winner from each race receiving a turkey. All participants will earn a Turkey Trot Ribbon. In addition, we will raffle off one turkey to each age group. All participants should arrive at the Conway Rec Field by 4:45 PM.
This race is for residents of Conway and Albany.

Biddy BasketballAs usual, we will have our popular K-1 Biddy Basketball program that will run for five weeks starting Saturday, November 16th and running until December 21st. Session 1 will start at 10:00 a.m. Session 2 will start at 11:00 a.m. Each session will have a maximum of 20 participants. The cost of the program is $21.00. This includes a team shirt. The focus of this program is to strictly introduce kids to basketball through the three basic skills of dribbling, passing, and shooting. The deadline to register, is Tuesday, November 12th. We will also be offering another Biddy Basketball program after Christmas break that will be focused on games. We will be posting a new registration for the program in the next few weeks. If you participate in this first program the cost will be an additional $10. If you are just participating in the games program of Biddy Basketball the cost will be $21.****************************************************

Mah Jongg - Mah Jongg
The Conway Parks & Recreation Department will be offering a weekly adult Mah Jongg Game as part of their adult program offerings on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Mah Jongg is a game of Chinese origin usually played by four people with one hundred and forty-four tiles that are drawn and discarded until one player secures a winning hand. All are welcome whether you are experienced or just learning.

Intramural Basketball 2024-2025The registration deadline for all programs is Tuesday, November 12th.DAYS AND TIMES OF PRACTICES AND GAMES ARE DEPENDENT ON REGISTRATION NUMBERS. This Winter the Conway Parks and Recreation Department will be offering Intro Basketball (Grades 2-3) and Intramural Basketball (4-6). Co-ed 2nd-3rd Grade BasketballOur grade 2-3, Co-ed Basketball program will be back by popular demand. Like last year, this program will introduce the idea of gameplay and team play with a very loose application of the rules. This is an introductory program that wants to see the kids shoot and pass without being overwhelmed by strict rule enforcement. This program will begin on Monday, December 2nd, and run until Monday, January 27th. The cost of this program is $22.00. The deadline to register is Tuesday, November 12th.********************************************************4th - 6th Grade BasketballWe will also offer girls' and boys' teams. The rules at this level will be more strictly enforced to replicate a true basketball experience. The teams in this program will practice on Wednesdays and/or Fridays beginning on Wednesday, November 13th, and continuing until December 20th. Practices will run before Christmas, and games will be played after Christmas. The cost of this program is $22.00 and includes a team shirt. The deadline to register is Tuesday, November 12th. If your child is in 6th grade and has a practice at 3:30 p.m., they can come to Conway Parks and Rec after school until practice starts. We will pick up 4th and 5th Graders at Mountainside after school for the 3:30 pm practices. On Wednesdays, we will be picking up the girls. On Fridays, we will be picking up the boys. If their practice is at 4:30 pm, we ask that you bring them to Conway Parks and Rec at that time. The Conway Parks & Recreation Department will be offering a weekly adult Mah Jongg Game as part of their adult program offerings on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Mah Jongg is a game of Chinese origin usually played by four people with one hundred and forty-four tiles that are drawn and discarded until one player secures a winning hand. All are welcome whether you are experienced or just learning.

The Conway Parks & Recreation Department will be offering a weekly adult Mah Jongg Game as part of their adult program offerings on Wednesday afternoons from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Mah Jongg is a game of Chinese origin usually played by four people with one hundred and forty-four tiles that are drawn and discarded until one player secures a winning hand. All are welcome whether you are experienced or just learning.
